Le Bug, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps

Our first big European show this year was the Le Bug at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

The show revolves around the world famous Spa circuit and includes a display area, camp site and a swap meet with an amazing atmosphere. The mornings were somewhat damp but as the day continued the clouds lifted and made way for the warm glow of the sun..in fact I think we got a little bit of a tan;)

We were taken a little by surprise that there were no limitations on the number of laps drivers could do considering the number of cars but it ran as smooth as clockwork and we had the opportunity to do a lap in a Kandy green registered drag bug with a new friend from Germany. What an experience that was!

Picks of the show were the 21 window bus and of course the SP2, the Cool Flo Outlaw 356, the Rat Targa and of course the Kandy green bug that took us on our first lap around Spa.

Cars and Coffee, Nedlands W.A

After a short winter hibernation it was time to blow out the cobwebs, hard shift the Onassis gear and wet the 48’s.

A glorious sunny morning cruising through the tunnel with fellow dubber 'Natski' leading the way.
Held in South Perth’s UWA Business campus it was our first visit and it definitely won’t be our last with a very well organised gig and some very rare machines about (with some hefty price tags to match)

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Race Taxi at Nürburgring

Nürburgring. A name synonymous with motorsport and petrol heads alike!

Located in the town of Nürburg Germany, the race circuit built in the 1920’s and featuring the Grand Prix race track built in 1984 is the stuff of legend.

Bags packed with the essentials, we set off from Paris to Brussels by rail followed by a stunning drive through Belgium and Holland to Germany as our final destination, where we were to ride shotgun in the Ring Taxi, the 911 GT3 RS!

The GT3 RS Porsche is form and function at its finest and the sound is all encompassing. Our driver Theo Kleen was excellent...cool and calm and knew the track like the back of his hand with very quick lap times, we passed cars like they were stood still

Two things really stuck in our minds after the lap:

1):  If Theo Kleen was 100% focused and racing to win, just how fast could he actually go around the track??

2): How on earth did they ever race F1 here?! It's just a mind boggling thought.

A big shout out to Ring Taxi for the amazing experience and also a thank you to Racer’s Retreat for the fantastic  accommodation and beer tips.

We’d also like to say well done to James Collins and his mates who drove their Golf all the way over from England (a 437bhp machine) and clocked a 8:25 BTG. Great drive and car, sweats power and maybe 'a little' oil.

2017 Hot Rod & Street Machine Spectacular

The W.A Hot Rod & Street Machine Spectacular was on again at the Claremont Showgrounds Perth and it did not disappoint!

The ØG356 was on display amongst very esteemed company under Forged Magazine, W.A's premier car magazine.

There was something for everyone and the amazing “winter” we are having made sure the carpark outside was also filled with some of Perth’s beautiful machines.

A big thank you to all involved and a shout out goes to Jordan Leist from Forged for doing all the hard work and organising everything...

Caffeine & Machine and The QE2

With the QE2 as the majestic backdrop, it set the scene for an evening of automotive bliss. Caffeine and Machine was organized around the Rashid Port in Dubai.

A unique location with the industrial port area with aligned with sea containers and old warehouses full of character was really brought to life again by the gathering of some stunning machines!

The plan for the QE2 had been to convert her into a grand floating hotel at the Palm in Dubai but she now sits partly stripped down and awaits patiently for her next journey. Time has not devoured her beauty and she still remains as stunning as ever.

Plenty of new cars at this meet so we hope you enjoy the pics with the stand outs for us being the collection of Porsche’s and the 23 window…and of course the big air-cooled crew turnout in support

Definitely one of the biggest turnouts to date and a great effort again everyone!
