Hot Rod & Street Machine Spectacular, West. Australia

The 23rd West Australian Hot Rod and Street Machine Spectacular is one of the premier kustom events held at the Claremont Showgrounds.

This year saw the introduction of ‘Koolsville’ which revolved around kustom kulture showcasing local artist. There was also an increase in custom bikes which we are huge fans and a section for customised pedal cars and tri-cycles proudly sponsored by House of Kolor.

Prolific custom builder Ben Foster(& crew) knocked it out of the park yet again with ‘The Zeitgeist Killer’, a hand built and customised WLA Harley trike dripping in candy paint. The concept, finish and detailing was exquisite and the judges agreed with the silverware it took home. This will be Ben’s last build for awhile…until next year;)

Kengo Kimura from Heiwa, Japan brought over 3 superb rides and the design, build quality and the attention to detail of the builds are second to none and simply awe inspiring.

Last but not Leist….Clayton & Jordan Leist stood strong side by side with Jordan’s amazing automotive photography and Claytons ‘Leist Cycles’, a high level restoration and sales of uber rare bicycles from 60’ and 70’s restored to perfection.

There was such a nice mix of styles and era’s and although the weather was a little cold and damp this year, it was still a great way to spend the w’end.

Oh, and it’s always nice to bump into Stormie!
