CC&C WA, October 2016

With Summer finally here the first twilight meet went off with a bang with arguably the largest turnout to date of Perth’s cool cars & bikes.

Finding a spot to park did give us the opportunity to do a slow lap around and once parked it was a visual feast for any car nut.

Thanks again to the team at Cars & Coffee for making it the best one yet(until next month’s of course!)

CC&C WA, September 2016

This meet was a little special to us as it was the first outing for the Outlaw356 on home soil.

We organised a small crew together for this one which included Neil’s HK Monaro, Pauls HG Monaro, Pete’s 13 window, Brad’s XW and Dale’s El Camino and together we set off for the cruise to CC&C. This was also a first CC&C for the crew rolling in their own cars and it definitely wont be their last.

You could not have wished for a better morning which was evident by the sheer number of cool rides there on Sunday morning!

We’re looking forward to next months already! Thanks again to Jason and the team at CC&C WA.

Valla 2016_Part 1

One of the biggest events on the Australian VW calendar is the Volkswagen Spectacular
held in Nambucca Heads, NSW. Established in 1984 by the Pell family, it is now in its 32nd year and a bi-annual event that runs for an entire week based around Volkswagens!

2014 was the 20th anniversary for the event and over 750 cars attending from all across Oz and 2016 was the year that we aimed to take 2 cars to the event…the 356 and the Split Bug.

With the looming deadline, both cars were far from being completed and the pressure was on, with the plan being to ship both cars to Coffs and then cruise up to Valla for the week’s events.
The Outlaw356 made it just in time but the same couldn't be said for the beetle, as there was more work that was required than had planned.

The 356 did have a couple of small issues but a big thank you goes out to Luke Pell who worked his magic on it.

The next few days was the 356’s ‘shake down’ test for which it performed remarkably well and we had a blast!

Dutton Garage, Melbourne

Dutton Garage in Richmond, Melbourne is a car lover’s dream for the rare and exotic. After a delicious cappuccino from the in-house cafe we spent some time on the show room viewing what was on offer.

There was a “No Entry” sign cordoning off what we suspected was more cars but that was easily moved aside;) *(with permission of course!). Walking down to the floor below we were greeted by the glass enclosed workshop with a classic F1 race car, an ex Rally 911 and a Ferrari having some engine work (we have literally eaten food from things less clean that that engine bay!). Along the right side were more exotics from early 911’s to Ferrari’s and an Alfa. These cars are ALL driven and raced. These are not garage or trailer queens!

Towards the end of the floor was the detailing area and sitting proud was a bright orange Plymouth Roadrunner with its huge rear wing. This car was simply an overload to the sences. If you’re going for an American Muscle car make it big and obnoxious or go home!

The floor above the showroom is where the deals are done and contain the executive offices and board room. The top floor are more cars awaiting their place on the show floor and also for the uber rare and highly prized that are perhaps are special order. Talk on the floor was that one of the cars was worth over $4.5M!

It does make you wonder, if we dream about these cars, what cars do the owners of this garage dream about?

Thank you to the team at Dutton Garage for their hospitality and for letting us take a walk around!
