Hoods Exhibition

We took a recent detour to visit Fuel Magazine’s Hoods Exhibition held at Suus Customs in Collingwood, Melbourne.

10 artists were selected from across Australia and each was provided a brand new Holden bonnet and given full creative licence to design. The space was intimate and full of character and the creativity in each individual piece was simply amazing, with each represented by the style of each artist.

Available for purchase by expression of interest we couldn't decide which we would take. Which piece is your favourite?

W.A HOT ROD & STREET MACHINE SPECTACULAR

One of W.A's premier shows was held at The Claremont Showgrounds on the 18th & 19th of June. With over 190 showcars under one roof this year was made even more special with XBOSS, the sublime XB Coupe making its debut on home soil.
Created by Chris Bitmead and a team of amazing craftsmen, XBOSS recently returned from the 2016 Detroit Autorama where it made the Great 8...competing for the Ridler Award.
A truly remarkable car and an inspiration to all car builders of what is truly possible to achieve if you put your mind to it.
There was a great diverse range of cars at the show even the carpark had lots to take in, with clear skies and crisp weather that W.A is renowned for.

CC&C WA, June 2016

You could not have asked for a better Sunday morning in June with a stunning clear blue sky and an automotive visual feast!

The new CC&C WA merch was proudly on sale (which looks fantastic I might add;) at the main entrance and was well received by the regulars. Available in a few designs, colors and in a hoodie its a great way to support the team behind it all and to have some cool apparel at the same time.

A big shout out to Jason, Eleissa and the team for another fine morning enjoying cars....and coffee!

Custom Cars & Coffee, May 2016

The monthly meet at the Midland Speed Dome is a must to get your fill if you're a car nut. With a mostly clear morning a slight drizzle did make an appearance but it didnt dampen the enthusiastic crowd too much, although the owners of some of the 'verts werent too impressed.
Greeted on entry by the Torana Car Club there was plenty to see with the Jeep brigade also making its presence felt.
We're already looking forward to the next one!

VCCWA Vintage Swapmeet, Guildford W.A

The ol' swapmeet…buying things you dont need to fill the space you dont have! Always on the hunt for that elusive part at a bargain price that you dont know you need until you find it!
The VCCWA vintage swap was held at the Kings Meadow Polo grounds near the picturesque Swan River in Guildford. The serenity periodically ruined by the low fying commercial airplanes coming in to land but a fantastic morning out riffling through boxes and catching up with old friends.
A great way to spend a lazy Sunday morning.
